In-Home Care

What is In-Home Care?
NDIS in-home care brings trained disability support workers to you, helping with the daily tasks that keep life at home running smoothly. It's funded through Core Supports (Assistance with Daily Life) and can be short visits, longer shifts, or overnight support.
At Bridging Abilities, our in-home care on the Central Coast is built around your routine, your preferences, and your NDIS goals — whether you're living alone, with family, or with a partner who also needs a break.
We help with personal care, meal prep, cleaning, medication reminders, and staying connected with health providers. Our team is background-checked, trained in manual handling and complex support, and matched to you for consistency.

In-Home Care FAQs
What is NDIS in-home care?
NDIS in-home care is disability support delivered in the participant's own home. A trained support worker helps with personal care, meals, medication reminders, cleaning, and other daily tasks so you can stay independent at home rather than moving into supported accommodation.
Who is eligible for in-home care under the NDIS?
Any NDIS participant with funding for Assistance with Daily Life or Personal Activities in their Core Supports budget can use it for in-home care. If you're unsure whether it's in your plan, we can help you check and, if needed, gather information for your next plan review.
What tasks can an in-home support worker help with?
Showering, dressing, meal prep, cleaning, laundry, medication prompts, help getting to appointments, and general companionship. On the Central Coast we tailor each shift to the participant — some visits are 30 minutes, others are full days or overnights.
Can I choose my in-home support worker?
Yes. Choice and control is core to the NDIS, and consistency matters for good in-home care. We match you with workers based on your needs, personality, and preferences, and aim to keep the same small team so you're not meeting a new person each shift.
Do you provide NDIS in-home care across the Central Coast?
Yes — Bridging Abilities delivers NDIS in-home care right across the Central Coast, including Gosford, Wyong, Erina, Woy Woy, Tuggerah, and surrounding suburbs.
